WORK  –  PRINT  –  RISOWILD

* RISOWILD

single mode, uni project, 2024

In 2023, I spent several weeks in Namibia — travelling through the country and working for a month on a cattle farm. During that time, I captured memorable moments of wildlife. Risowild is a calendar that showcases this diverse animal world, presented in a unique way. From giraffes and elephants to rhinos, oryx, and wildebeest, the fauna is as vibrant as the calendar itself.

To get such rich colors, the calendar was printed using a risograph. It’s a digital duplicator, and its prints are known for their bright colors and slightly imperfect, handmade look. Unlike digital printing, each risograph print is unique and has its own charm. The inks are soy-based, and the process is environmentally friendly.

I created, printed and cut the calendar as part of a uni course on risography. Risowild turns my time in Namibia into something you can hold in your hands. The images were captured with a Sony A6000 and a Sony E 55-210mm lens.
